A little about me … I value meeting my clients where they are in their journey, because I know navigating life’s stressors is not always a simple task.  I love helping clients learn new skills and work toward their goals.  I received a Master of Education in Counseling and Human Development from Lindsey Wilson College in 2013.  Prior to that I completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Eastern Kentucky University.

When you come to your appointment with me, you might experience ... A safe open space to discuss the difficulties you may be facing and learn skills to overcome obstacles that may be in your path toward growth.  We may also be visited by my tortoiseshell cat who enjoys making an appearance from time to time!

My training and specialty work includes … I specialize in treating clients with Anxiety, Depression, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or other trauma-related issues.  I am an EMDR-trained clinician.  EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) has been found through research to effectively help many people recover from traumatic or otherwise distressing life experiences.  Beyond my primary specialties I have also worked with many clients experiencing problems related to Bipolar Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and ADHD.  Some of the therapeutic approaches I utilize include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and EMDR.

I’m most comfortable working with …
Clients from a variety of backgrounds and identities who are motivated to work toward and experience positive change in their lives.

In my free time you might find me …  Spending time with friends, family, and my cat.  In my solo time I enjoy reading, crafting, music, and playing video games.
