
A little about me…
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 15 years of experience in providing inpatient and outpatient counseling services and providing medical social work services in a variety of medical facilities. I have a Bachelor’s in Social Work from the University of Mississippi and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. I am very down to earth, easy going and have a pretty good sense of humor.

One of my primary roles as a therapist is to help people consider their lives in more dignified ways. While we will work together to gain a better understanding of the issue(s) that lead you to therapy, we will also spend a great deal of time exploring your values, intentions, hopes and dreams. We will explore situations using a variety of techniques such as talk therapy, art, music and play. My hope is that clients can take at least one new skill from each session that they can use on a daily basis.

I am a strength-based therapist. I have trainings in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Play Therapy, Mindfulness Based therapies and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I take an eclectic approach, pulling from all of my experiences and trainings, to helping people find comfort in their lives.
I’m most comfortable working with…
Ages from 5 to 11 and 25 to 100 plus. My experience includes work with ADHD, depression, anxiety and trauma. I enjoy working with a diverse population and issues.
In my free time you might find me…
Lounging around the house watching episodes of A Different World, spending time with family/friends and trying new restaurants.
