A Little About Me

I graduated from Lindsey Wilson College in 2013 with a Masters in Counseling and Human Development. I have been practicing since 2014 and became independently licensed in 2016. I have served as an in home case manager and therapist from 2013-2016. I have experience in substance abuse treatment, and now, outpatient therapy services.

When You Come to Your Appointment With Me, You Might Experience

Our first session is created for us to begin building a relationship. I will gather information about what prompted the move to begin therapy, and LOTS of family history. We explore what the client desires to address in therapy and begin creating a treatment plan. The session is very relaxed.

I’m most comfortable working with

I am capable to serve clients ages 16 and older who may be managing anxiety and depression. I have experience in treating trauma and substance abuse. I enjoy assisting clients in learning to manage the daily stresses of life, grief, and relationships. I also enjoy assisting clients in processing any family of origin relationships and impacts. I enjoy assisting clients in all minority groups, especially African Americans and LGBTQ+.

My Training and Speciality Work Includes

My graduate education was primarily focused on mental health treatment. I have served as a full time substance abuse counselor. I am EMDR trained. I also enjoy exploring family history and generational impacts to our lives.
