Providing Treatment In: Kentucky
A little about me
I graduated from University of Louisville with a M.Ed in Counseling and Personnel Services, with specification for Art Therapy. I have been practicing since 2017 and became independently licensed in 2019. My initial experience in mental health began in direct care roles in residential treatment facilities and a day program for adults with disabilities. In my practice I have worked with substance use, persons experiencing immigration and refugee changes, and family reunification.
When you come to your appointment with me, you might experience
An opportunity to explore the person you are and the person you want to be – and be okay with both during this journey! When we first meet, I will let you know that this relationship will be unique, just like the others in your life, and that this space is yours. We will work together to identify what brings you comfort and contentment, and what strengths you are bringing to the table.
My training and specialty work includes
A consistent readdressing of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I like to keep CBT as a baseline, and offer an integrative approach to address your whole self as a person. This includes space to explore physical and sexual health, identity, communication, and community/social wellness. My trainings include being Juvenile Sex Offender (JSO) Certified, and a certificate in LGBTQ+ Health. When applicable, we may use ACT/Values-based treatment models as well.
I am most comfortable working with
People experiencing anxiety, codependent behaviors, ADHD, and/or gender dysphoria. I also have experience working with those who have experienced trauma and/or grief.
In my free time you might find me
Wandering around a local market/event, hiking, or reading at a coffee shop.
