Providing Treatment In: Kentucky, Arizona
A little about me
I am a dual certified family & psychiatric nurse practitioner with 14 years advanced practice experience and 18 years in nursing altogether. I’m a born & raised Kentuckian from the country, an avid runner and 3x marathoner with a goal of qualifying to run the Boston Marathon. I have three kiddos & love to travel to new destinations with my family to find hiking & running trails to explore. I find being outdoors in nature is life-giving, restorative, and I try to squeeze in some time outside every day when possible.
When you come to your appointment with me, you might experience…
My large Maine Coone cat Gizmo who loves to try to peek on camera & greet my clients.
My training and specialty work includes
Earning my Bachelor’s in Nursing from Eastern Kentucky University & my Master’s in Nursing from Western Kentucky University as a Family Nurse Practitioner. After 11 years of family practice, I ventured back to earn my post-master’s certification in Psychiatry. My experience ranges from inpatient critical care to in-home primary care to outpatient psychiatry where I have found my niche. I am dual-certified which allows me to offer my clients the broadest range of services possible.
I am most comfortable working with
My areas of interest include women during & after pregnancy, families, clients with disabilities & special needs, & clients who have struggled previously to find the best fit with medication. I love challenging cases! I often incorporate the use of pharmacogenomic testing as well as non-pharmacologic interventions while working collaboratively with my clients to create individualized treatment plans.
In my free time you might find me
living the mom life & spending time with our kiddos, running, training for marathons & dreaming of new running adventures or squeezing in a trip with my husband
